Well the kids are growing up and evolving almost everyday. If you don't get to see them very often you might wonder, what can they do? What games do they like to play? Well this post will give you a list of fun activities that you can play with my kids next time you see them.
Sophie
She is developing so fast but some of her favorite activities include:
1. Growling at her stuffed animals
2. Playing Gallette (a French version of patty-cake). Repeat the following words: " (clap you hands) gallette, gallette, gallette,..,(poke the palm of your hand with your finger) pique, pique, pique,...,(move your arms in a rolling motion) roule, roule, roule,...,(pretend to eat your hands) mange la galette. It might sound like a silly game but she's got the clapping down pretty good and she can almost do the rolling. It's extremely cute!
3. Holding her hands and letting her walk around. She can't crawl yet but she does enjoy this method of exploring her environment.
4. She loves to feed herself adult food. She won't even touch most of her baby food and she doesn't even have any teeth yet.
5. Carry her on your shoulders and lean over.
Nicholas has developed in his own way. These are the games he likes to play:
1. Any game with a ball and/or a stick like hokey, soccer or catch.
2. Last time I was waiting for a but with him we ran around the bus shelter taking turns running after each other. Considering it was a circle, the taking turns idea wasn't really necessary.
3. He loves video games. I took him to Microplay the other day and grabbed their in-house magazine which has 4-5 video game advertisements per page. He reads the magazine every day telling me, which games are for Everyone, which are for Teens, which are for Mature players and how many people can play at the same time. Yesterday I saw him covering his eyes with his hands and uncovering them only to shiver in fear and re-covering them again. I asked him what he was doing and he explained that he was looking at the picture for the game Resident Evil which had a depiction of a scary zombie. So if you have a game system/game boy/Mc Donalds game, the boy will play for hours. At three he can already navigate easily through my gameboy advanced to find the characters and levels he wants to play.
4. His favorite book is Bob on the moon. But he loves almost any book being read to him. When my wife gave him the choice of choosing his punishment which was between going to bed with no story or throwing out some candy that he wanted to eat, he threw out the candy.
5. He loves to ride the bus and the train.
Juliette is getting to be an intelligent mature girl. She listens very well to adults’ conversations so be careful what you say around her.
1. She just finished her 3rd year of downhill skiing. At this point she's a pretty good skier. When the weather gets better, I'm thinking of bringing her out to the hill for a full day of skiing, just the two of us.
2. I've been challenging her to jumping contest. It's not easy to beat her but if you’re in reasonably good shape you should be able to do it.
3. She loves to color and draw. She will color with anything on any surface you'll permit her to draw on. Her drawings are getting quite beautiful.
4. She likes playing with Sophie, especially picking her up and moving her around. Actually she'll try and pick up anyone if you give her the chance. She's pretty strong for her age.5. She still likes to wear fancy dresses. This is no surprise considering my wife still likes to wear fancy dresses as well. I think this is one game that little girls never grow out of.
