We joyfully announce the birth of Sophie. She came into the world at 10:30 AM and weighed a healthy 8 Lbs, 7 ounces. The entire clan is very excited to welcome this new addition to our happy family, no one more so than Juliette and Nicholas. Mom and baby are doing well and will enjoy a quiet summer (or two) at home together. Next time you’re in our neighbourhood feel free to drop by and say high. Just like any other zoo, visiting hours are between 8 AM and 8 PM except we encourage you to feed the animals (especially the male gorilla that can usually be found wearing his young).
The ten best things about being a third child…
10. There won’t be any pressure to get married and have kids so you can concentrate on your career as a professional athlete.
9. You won’t need to worry about the hassle of sitting beside a windy window seat during family car rides.
8. Three kids are better than one especially when it’s time to convince the parents to go on family vacations to places like Disneyland or Mt. Splashmore.
7. You will be the proud owner of hand-me-down wardrobe for your entire life.
6. The third little pig avoided getting eaten by the wolf by building a beautiful brick home (whatever that means?).
5. By the time you become a teenager, Mom and Dad will barely be disciplining anymore.
4. Everyone knows that the baby of the family can concentrate on being spoiled and having fun while the older siblings can deal with being “responsible”.
3. There won’t be any embarrassing pictures of the third child (actually there won’t be any pictures at all).
